The Different Modeling Capabilities of IMPACT
Abstract
Traditionally, two different classes of computer programs have served
control engineers as tools for systems' modeling; non-linear simulation
packages and linear CACSD programs. In this paper, we show how
non-linear modeling and simulation facilities have been incorporated
within the IMPACT linear control environment. A detailed example
illustrates the flexibility of this system when dealing with systems
having mixed linear and non-linear components.
