The Main Building (HG) of ETH

The summer school in Zurich will be held in the main building (HG) of ETH Zurich. Please look at the Main Campus map (with the building HG marked red) and public transportation info available here. All lectures are given in the room HG G19.1, where G is two floors above the ground (E) floor.

Registration

On Monday, June 16, the registration desk opens at 8:45 a.m. and the opening ceremony starts at 9 a.m.

Arrival and Departure

Everyone is expected to arrive on Sunday afternoon, June 22 and leave on Saturday, June 28.

Check-in and Registration

On Sunday, June 22, the check-in counter opens at 3 p.m. and the registration desk opens from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m..

An Exra Night Stay

There is an option for you to stay at CSF (Centro Stefano Franschini) on Saturday, June 28 on your own expense. The CSF is hosting an exciting jazz concert by Swing Kids at 5 p.m. for the Ascona Jazz Festival. For rates and reservation, see the special jazz night.

Travel

By train, by air, by car. A free shuttle bus (11 seats) to Monte Verita on Sunday (June 22) afternoon: depart from Locarno at 14:35, 15:15, 15:55, 16:35, 17:15, 17:55.

Travel Advice

Trains from Zurich to Locarno usually offer no services. It is good to take some drinks and snacks with you. We plan to have an excursion on Wednesday, June 25 on local mountain hills. Please bring good supporting shoes if you plan to join the excursion.
