Video Processing 2
The Imaging and Video group at Disney Research Zurich conducts
research in all areas related to digital image and video processing.
Our research interests range from basic image analysis to image-based
modeling, editing, and rendering. A representative list of topics
includes novel view synthesis from images, light field processing,
stereoscopic video, 3D stereo reconstruction, and visual saliency
analysis. Furthermore, we are interested in innovative applications of
image-based technologies in the fields of 2D animation and interactive
environments such as games and theme parks. The driving force behind
our research is the development of new representations, algorithms,
and software tools that have a direct impact on practically relevant
problems for the Disney Studios, Media Networks, Interactive Studios,
and Imagineering.
We offer interesting thesis projects, and we are always looking for
excellent students and interns at all levels. Prerequisites are
self-motivation, background in graphics and/or computer vision, and
strong programming skills.
