Research

We investigated the field of timing analysis of Java programs. The computation of worst- end best-case execution times of class methods can be useful in many fields including real-time systems and adaptive components. Real-time schedulers need the worst-case execution time of each task for the schedulability and admission tests, while software components could include information on the required resources for different implementations of the same service, with different results qualities and different resource requirements.
For our projects we implemented ERCO a reasearch Java bytecode-to-native compiler. For more information please refer to the compiler homepage or write an email.
