Computer science has become a central science around a multitude of technologies  and services that form the functional core of our modern society. It exists in a permanent exchange with society and has an influence on society in many relevant ways. The studies at ETH mediate the methodological basis by which the graduates can have an active impact on the future of computer science and information technologies.

Within the Bachelor studies in Computer Science at ETH, the students get a broadly outlined and scientifically oriented education in the basic fields of Computer Science. The themes range from central areas of Computer Science such as Programming, Algorithms, Computer Systems, Software and Information Systems, Theoretical Informatics and Scientific Computation including the underlying mathematics.

Education, together with the methodological-scientific thinking, enables the students to continue the studies by a demanding Master program.
