Admission to the M.Sc. program in Computer Science is open to graduates of outstanding promise and is highly competitive. Excellent students holding a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or Mathematics are cordially invited to apply for admission. A strong background in Mathematics, Theory and Computer Science is expected.

The rector of ETH announces:
"The Master’s degree program in Computer Science attracts an above-average number of applicants and is, due to lack of capacity, unable to grant admission to every qualified foreign student. Admission in such cases proceeds selectively on the basis of the profile of requirements, the level of mastery of the subject, and the study performance record in the previous Bachelor’s degree program."

Note that there are only admissions in the autumn semester.
