Ordinance on Doctoral Studies >>

The Computer Science Department offers a doctoral study program in computer science to exceptionally well-qualified holders of a Master’s Degree. The doctoral degree (Dr. sc. ETH Zurich) is granted for participating in the doctoral study program and the successful completion of an original research project.

Typically, the time needed to complete a doctoral degree is 3-5 years. Scientific creativity and the ability to present ideas both in scientific papers and in seminars are indispensable requirements for the successful completion of a doctorate.

To get admitted as a doctoral student you will first have to find a professor among our faculty who is ready to supervise your thesis.

Please look thoroughly through the web sites of our faculty members.

You may directly contact the professor doing research in the area of your interest.
