Several Options for Continuing Education in Computer Science at ETH Zurich

Continuing Education is offered today by many schools and universities, also and even especially in the field of information technology. ETH Zurich is focussing its Continuing Education in Computer Science on high level opportunities, however offered to three different groups of addressees:

• University/college graduates with sufficient qualifications in the field of Computer Science may apply for the Certificate Programme in Computer Science. This Programme consists of courses with a total of at least 20 ECTS credit points, which is equivalent to a total workload of 600 hours (including courses, exercises, exam preparation, etc.) and provides the ETH Certificate in Computer Science.

• Those who just wish to take advantage of courses offered at ETH (incl. Focus Courses and Selective Courses, can do so against a small fee as a so called "Listener" ("Hörer"). However "Listeners" are excluded from exams.

• For those who are unable to attend lectures on a regular (weekly) basis, the Department of Computer Science offers compact courses during the sommer and winter semester break (one to three days duration). For those courses there are neither access limitations nor exams.
