Preparation

Those who are interested in attending the Certificate Programme and who are also qualified to do so will first have to choose a field of interest and to find the preferred subjects from the large pool of Focus Courses and Elective Courses ("Fokusfächer", "Wahlfächer") as presented in the Course Catalogue of ETH Zurich (in German "Vorlesungsverzeichnis"), including courses in German and in English as well. In this Course Catalogue course titles, lecturers, time and lecture halls are indicated, and also - over links - the course contents and the corresponding ECTS credit points.

Indicate a tentative list of your preferred course titles already on your official application form; however later adaptations are always possible.

Application

The official application form must be signed and sent to the "Kurssekretariat" along with photocopies of any relevant certificates/diplomas and a passport photograph. The fall semester deadline is 15th August, the spring semester deadline 15th January.

Acceptance of applications

All applications are screened by the head of the Certificate Programme and either accepted, rejected or accepted under restrictions (e.g. because of lack of sufficient qualifications). Accepted applicants are each assigned a mentor (usually a professor in the appropriate field of interest).

Costs

Tuition costs are Sfr. 2080.- (includes exam fees).
Billing occurs during the first semester of the Certificate Programme.
