Buildings

The Department of Computer Science is situated in six buildings, all within walking distance of the Zurich center and Zurich main station. These six locations are outlined in the local map. The department head and department administration offices are based in the CAB building at Universitätsstrasse 6,  and in the UNG building at Universitätsstrasse 19, CH-8092 Zürich. The research institutes are based in CAB /CNB and in the RZ building. Whenever possible, please address directly the relevant offices at the individual institutes. For exact information on the various institutes and people locations follow the contact details here.

CAB and CNB

CAB and CNB are the main buildings of the Department of Computer Science. They are located at 5 minutes walking distance from the other D-INFK buildings. The Department of Computer Science has offices on floors E through J in CAB and on floors D through H in CNB. The CAB and CNB buildings are open from 6:30 am to 7 pm.

UNG

UNG hosts the department communications offices and administration offices. Postal Address: Universitätsstrasse 19, 8092 Zürich.
Door is closed; visitors should ring the bell at the entrance.

RZ

RZ floors H and J belong to the Department of Computer Science. The Institute of Computer Systems and the Chair of Software Engineering are located here. The building is open from 7 am to 8 pm.
Address: Clausiusstrasse 59, CH-8092 Zürich.

CLW and CLV

CLW and CLV are institute buildings of the Department of Computer Science. The Disney Research Zürich Lab is located here. Doors are closed; visitors should ring the bell at the entrance.
Address: Clausiusstrasse 49, CH-8092 Zürich.

Arrival

From Zurich airport

Follow the signs "Bahn/Railway" to the ticket counters and/or ticket machines and take the escalator down to the train platforms. Trains to the city center leave approx. every 10 minutes and it takes about 10 minutes to reach the main station (Zürich  "Hauptbahnhof" or just "HB"). You will find instructions in English on the ticket machines, or press the red key at the bottom left  for "Zurich City". The ticket is valid for 1 hour for all trains to Zurich as well as for trams and buses in the city. If you plan to stay a full day, chose the day ticket, valid 24 hours. The machines accept coins as well as CHF 20.00 bills and they do give change.
